Share; we must
It is increasingly easy to find people who are facing (or have experienced) similar challenges to my own.
A small example: I have a rather addictive habit of coding on the weekend. I can't help it. I like to solve problems, I enjoy getting to the end of a little program and seeing it work. Kind of like building something concrete, or playing scales. The work gets done, I have something to show for it.
Very often, I hit a wall, a problem, and some other soul has been there before. If they are wise and generous, they bother to post their notes for other lost travelers.
Thank you Michele Campeotto in Italy. You are absolutely right:
I don’t remember how I came to understand it, as I can’t find it written anywhere, but you must make the plugin script executable or GIMP will not find it.
That bit of advice saved me much angst this evening.
It is so important that we all share our experiences, our failures, our successes. We must get it out of our heads and into a place where it's actually useful to other people. We must get that information into our community.
We must because we are the only ones who can help us.
