Clean the Valves Separately

My bell section and valves come apart using threaded joints. After removing the main slides, removing the bell section is just a matter of undoing a couple of joints.

Bathing the trombone is a already an undertaking, so I don't normally clean my axial valves at the same time. These require a different set of tools, and a different work space (a large table, oils, screw drivers, rubbing alcohol, etc.). I simply set aside my valve section on a soft cloth. I will probably clean and lube that section on another day.
