ITF Staff 2005 In May 2005, I had the good fortune to join a group of fine collegiate trombonists in helping run the International Trombone Festival at Loyola University, New Orleans. Guided by Steven Greenall, the International Trombone Festival Executive Director, we provided much of the brute force behind the festival operations. This page is a quick look back with a few photos from the week. Clearly much fun had by all, and we look forward to the next ITF! Cheers from Austin, -Denton Want to know more about ITF, or be part of its staff in the future? Read about Steven and the most recent festival, then inquire about being on the upcoming festival staff. |
Monica Tang's expression of trombone goodness. See the cute teddy bear? Ah, the bright and promising recruits. Behind their cameras: Chris Aggett and myself. We looked a lot more tired at the end of the festival. A midnight duet session with Hannes Holzl, Angie Slaughter, Monica Tang, and myself. Monica just wanted to hear her new Shires, and Hannes dropped by to say hello. At midnight to 1am. Jet lag does good things! Alessi made a surprise appearance with Bonetown on the first night of the festival. Gabe Mueller and I couldn't resist getting some back-stage photos after the concert. Loyola residents Hanna (front right) and Madeleine (back right) were happy to lead a small group of staff into the city for a (1) Long walk and (2) great dinner. Well worth the walk in the end - good jumbalaya. Or whatever that stuff was ;p |
