Lucky Money

The Bride & Groom chose to distribute lucky money envelopes for two reasons. First, it follows good Chinese custom. Second, because they're still not sure where they're going to live!

Following the wedding, Denton will return to the USA to continue work on his Doctorate in Musical Arts (Austin, TX). Cindy will stay in Australia, and cannot enter the USA again until the proper visas have been granted. It will be a year or more until the happy couple is happily living in the same place together.

Instead of arranging international shipping, Cindy and Denton decided that it would be best to go without a registry. Gifts of lucky money will be gratefully applied to their next international airfare, whichever direction it may be.

If you will be attending the dinner reception, please bring your gift with you. The Bride and Groom will have a lucky money box on display. Alternatively, you may send your gift by mail.

Cindy and Denton are immensely grateful for the many gifts that friends and family have given and sent. The January engagement dinner gifts were put towards Cindy's travel in March, allowing her to visit Denton and travel to Washington, DC.
